Holland Ridge Farm

Holland+Ridge+Farm

Do you want to go somewhere with tulips as far as the eye can see? Somewhere you can take some cute selfies on picturesque bikes? Or grab a quick and tasty snack while sitting in a field of beautiful flowers? All without leaving New Jersey? Then look no further than Holland Ridge Farm.

The founders of Holland Ridge Farm are originally from Holland and wanted to bring a piece of their homeland to the U.S. Great Opa Casey grew up in Holland, where he grew and sold tulip bulbs. He taught his son, Casey Sr. how to grow tulips and Casey Sr. started his own business when he moved to America as a teenager. Now, Casey Sr. imports bulbs from his home country and plants them at his farm in Cream Ridge, New Jersey.

At Holland Ridge Farm, visitors can even take tulips home with them. If you visit the farm, you can pick as many flowers as you want. You can walk around and whenever you see a new and pretty color, which will be often, you can pick it out of the ground. To properly pluck a tulip, you have to reach down to the base of it, twist it, and then pull up. If you don’t want to go to the farm and pick them up yourself, you can order a box of pre-cut tulips to your house.

If you like to garden or plant your own flowers, you can order a box of bulbs from Holland Ridge Farm. You can pick the colors and types of tulips you want to order and they will be delivered to your house in the fall with instructions on how to plant them. If you prefer surprises, you can order a mystery box with an assortment of colors that you won’t know what they are until they grow!

If you want to go to the farm and enjoy the colorful atmosphere, you can also grab a snack or drink from the many food trucks parked at the farm. Every week the farm has different food trucks so be sure to check out the farm’s food truck calendar. Not only that, but sometimes there is live music so you can rock out.

Now that you know you can take a short drive to Holland, I hope you do. There are many things to do there no matter what age you are. Picking tulips, listening to music, and eating good food are only the start of the things you can do at Holland Ridge Farm in Cream Ridge, New Jersey!
