APEM Creamery opened its doors to the public in June of 2019, and it is just a quick walk from Forest Avenue School in Bloomfield. It is located at the corner of Sunset Avenue and Broad Street, filling the long-time vacant corner with a bright, upbeat, and unique creamery. The experience APEM Creamery offers is much more than just an average visit for dessert. For example, everyday you will find different flavors for sale, as the assortments are changed daily. But don’t worry, that flavor you love will eventually come back after they complete their rotation in a weeks time.

Not only is this system distinctive to APEM, but the flavors themselves are one-of-a-kind. One example is their gelato called “Bee Spit and Flowers,” a mixture of honey and lavender. Others flavors include “Goat Caramel,” “Toasted Almond,” and “Sour Cream & Strawberries,” each containing unique ingredients that ultimately make for a tasty assortment. Fun sorberts include “Coconut Pandan,” “Arnold Palmer,” and “Pineapple Lemongrass.” These are just some of the many different flavors which make up their weekly schedule. The menu contains around 10 choices each day, so imagine how many possibilities there are in a weeks time. While some flavors appear more often than others, the overall the menu looks pretty much new every day. But this quantity does not create a lack in quality; there is a freshness and genuine taste coming from all of these flavors.

Ultimately, if you are looking for consistent and customary flavors of ice cream, APEM Creamery may not be your favorite spot. But if you are adventurous and open to trying new things, definitely give APEM a try!
