Throughout the months of spring, local events are common, some consist of marathons, while others include book clubs, art shows, and classes that improve your talents drastically. Here are just a few of the many festivals, events, and fairs that take place throughout the duration of spring.
NABA 50th Anniversary Gala: The NABA 50th Anniversary Gala was held at the Hudson House on March 6, 2026, celebrating its 50th anniversary. Under the motto, “Lifting as We Climb,” the NABA is a nonprofit membership organization made to provide opportunities to Black professionals in financial business fields with over 200,000 members.

Branch Brook Park Cherry Blossom Festival: The Branch Brook Park Cherry Blossom Festival is a major, iconic spring event that holds a series of races, games, and more. The Cherry Blossom Challenge bike race will be held on April 5th, consists of a cash prize, and runs from 7 am to 1 pm. On April 6th, 10 am, the cherry blossom 10k race will begin and end at 12 pm that same day. On the 12th, a mile fun walk/run will be held throughout the hours of 10-11 am; afterwards, family day will be celebrated from 11 am-3 pm. Lastly, on April 13, Bloomfest begins “Celebrate the culminating event of the 50th Anniversary of the Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival with a full day of family-friendly fun in New Jersey’s pinkest park.”
Overall, spring is a fun time of year to celebrate, and there are many ways to do so. The events listed are only a fraction of the many other ways you can enjoy the new season. As Robin Williams once said, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s party!'”
